Anti-Racism Kits: World Celebrations

Explore the SD57 DLC's Anti-Racism Kits

Intro

The World Celebration series was designed to showcase important celebrations that occur around the world and in many Canadian homes and communities. With a mixture of fact and picture books, these introduce students to a range of celebrations that they or other students around them might celebrate.

Part of anti-racism work is making sure students have accurate information in order to challenge stereotypes and help them understand from authentic voices what goes on in different cultures. That demystifying goes beyond multi-culturalism, to understanding lived experiences so that students can better understand each other.
