How do we exist on and honour the land we call home? We live on the confluence of two rivers, ones we must care for and respect as a central part of our lives, economy and community. In Dakelh the idea of Keyoh is the land on which we have responsibility and is often accompanied by the idea that to be in charge of that land means to walk it, know it and tell stories of it. This kit is designed to help connect ourselves with the rivers we live on through a multimodal approach. This kit was designed to be used with a woodworking project carving paddles, going out to the river and exploring and discussing how the rivers nurtures and feeds our environment.
