Think about your foot squelching into mud, lifting it up and seeing the footprint you leave behind.
Now imagine when you step that instead of just a single foot, all the land that was required to produce what you eat came with you.
That's what we mean when we talk about our ecological footprint. It can be extended to include our carbon footprint as well as our food footprint, but the metaphor is the same.
How do you reduce your footprint and do you care about it?
What is the footprint of the companies that make and manufacture your food?
Waste is closely intertwined with the food footprint. Where your food comes from will determine your waste, as well as what you choose to do about it yourself.
