Famous Fashion Designer Research Project : Bibliography Links

For this project, you will research one famous fashion designer in depth.

Citations-WHY?

When writing a paper or developing a project, it is a requirement to cite or give credit to the author(s) whose works you are using for research or information.

You must cite a source when you use:

  • research
  • ideas
  • words
  • data
  • images, graphics, videos, or other media

This should appear at end of your paper, project, or presentation and it should be seperate from the project elements.

Creative Commons

Do not plagiarize or steal items from the Internet...it's illegal.

Most students will Google an image and immediately copy/paste the first one that they like into their project. This is a no-no.  Can you do it...yes...should you...NO.

It would be reasonable to assume that every image you find  online is copyrighted in some way. In this case, every image you use for educational use should be:

1. your own image if you can (i.e. use your phone to create and image you can use)

2. use public domain images (Wikimedia Commons and Flickr Commons.

3. use a Creative Commons website (example: openverse) or  change setting on Google Images tab access  an extensive library of free stock photos, images, and audio, available for free use

A few more license-free images sources can be found here

This article explains the issue of copyright well...check it out!

Bibliography

A bibliography is required for this assignment. You will need to list all sources (websites, articles, or book sources)  used for your project.

Lucky for you, most of the resources I have listed for this assignment already provide a "copy-paste" version of the citation you will need! Yes, I am that amazing :)

You need to place each in alphabetical order from the author's last name.

Examples:

Book (Print)

Last Name, First Name. Title of Book. City of Publication: Publisher, Year.

Web Page

Author. “Title of Page.” Title of Web Site. Publisher or Sponsor,

Date of Publication. Format. Date of Access.

**you do not use colour on your own bibliography. This is used to visually separate the information for learning purposes only
