Book Trailers
Essentially, a book trailer is a video advertisement of a book with the purpose of encouraging or enticing people to read it. Book trailers include teasers or snippets from the story that represent important ideas/themes from the book to attract other potential readers.
Similar to movie trailers, book trailers do not focus on summarizing a particular book or story. Rather, a book trailer is meant to be a multimodal (varying methods of representing information) interpretation of the themes of the book. A book trailer uses a mix of images and or moving image, symbols, text, voice-over, music and sound to ‘sell’ the book.
