In the education and careers unit, students will:
- complete several personal aptitude tests to relate their personal interests to education and career planning
- compare a variety of post-secondary education training institutes and programs
- relate labour market information to careers of interest
- demonstrate an understanding of employability skills
- demonstrate job-seeking skills
- demonstrate an awareness of legal rights and responsibilities of employers and employees
- analyse practices associated with risk-reduction and injury prevention in the workplace
- identify support networks and resources for pursuing their education and career goals
- develop a personal education and career plan
